If you are in possession of a stock certificate, you will need to sign a stock
power for each stock certificate that you transfer to VLPP. If the stock
certificate is registered in two names, both individuals will need to sign the
stock power and the stock power must be signature guaranteed. The stock power
and the stock certificate should be mailed to in separate envelopes for purposes of security. Upon receipt, your gift will be acknowledged for tax purposes. If you need a stock power form, please call us. Tax Considerations The fair market value of your gift of securities is determined by calculating the average between the high and low stock quotation on the date that the gift is made, multiplied by the number of shares transferred.
