Planned Giving
The most common planned gift is a gift through your will, known
as a bequest. you can arrange a gift of a specific amount, a
percentage, or even all or part of a residual of your estate.
If you would like to make such a gift to the Virginia League for Planed
Parenthood, your attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:
"I give, devise, and bequeath to the Virginia League for Planned Parenthood,
Inc. now or formerly in the City of Richmond, 2415 Floyd Avenue, in the State of
Virginia, (dollar amount or ___ percent of the rest, residue, and remainder of
my estate), to be used for its general purposes."
Generally, gifts through bequests are used by VLPP where need is greatest in
a given year. However, donors may specify a program area that they would
like their gift to go to , like education or clinic services.
